The Crimean Sparrow Hawk is a small species of hawk native to the woodlands of Crimea of Planet Fanon. Evolved from the Eurasian sparrow hawk, these predatory birds are abundant in Fanonian Eurasia and share much of the common characteristics of their progenitors. A migratory bird, this species migrates seasonally to western Europe, North America and Xentrica. There had used to be a large population that had usually migrated each winter to the eastern parts of Bulsa, but it had stopped migrating there one winter and went to Italy instead. This sudden change of migratory habitat was due to a war that jeopardized its survival in Bulsa. This population of sparrow hawks then travelled to Xentrica, and their progenies became a subspecies called the Xentricanese Sparrowhawk.
